John Huntington Circle ($2,500 - $4,999)
Huntington Reservation along the Lake Erie shoreline in Bay Village was the summer retreat and hobby farm for John Huntington, a wealthy Cleveland industrialist with ties to John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Company. Huntington, an inventor and avid tinkerer, constructed a water tower and maintained a steam pump system to irrigate his orchards and gardens. He built several other structures on his property, a few of which remain standing today. Huntington Beach is one of the most visited places in Cleveland Metroparks.
The John Huntington Circle honors this rich history and recognizes Cleveland Metroparks supporters who make a cumulative annual gift between $2,500 and $4,999.
