Zoo Unveils New Guest Attractions Coming this Season
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo today announced that dinosaurs are taking over Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! Opening on May 8, the Dino Cove experience near the Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake allows guests to get close to the largest animals to ever walk the earth.
Explore a collection of more than 25 animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on experiences including a fossil dig pit and dynamic photo opportunities. Stand alongside a 65-foot-long Brachiosaurus and 40-foot-long Tyrannosaurus Rex and much more. Guests can learn about dinosaur species across the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, including their diet and other dino facts.
Admission to Dino Cove is $3 for members, $4 for non-members per experience. General zoo admission is also required. Dino Cove is included in the Wild Savings Pass for $14.75, which gives guests access to Dino Cove, and one-day unlimited rides on the Circle of Wildlife Carousel, Boomerang Line train rides and 4-D Theater. Wild Savings Pass also includes a keepsake KeyBank Adventure Key to explore more than a dozen new Adventure Key interactive learning stations throughout the zoo and new for 2024, locations at all five Cleveland Metroparks Nature Centers.
This summer zoo guests can experience the zoo like never before from the water aboard Swan Voyage presented by Primrose schools. For the first time ever, guests can paddle through picturesque Waterfowl Lake in the heart of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on new Trumpeter Swan paddle boats that seat up to five passengers. More details and an official opening date will be announced soon. Wild Savings Pass holders will save a dollar off the Swan Voyage experience.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our guests by creating unique opportunities to experience the Zoo,” said Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Executive Director Dr. Chris Kuhar. “With the addition of Dino Cove and Swan Voyage near the Eagle Zip Adventure, Waterfowl Lake will be the Zoo’s entertainment hub this season.”
Tickets for Dino Cove and Swan Voyage may be purchased at several locations throughout the zoo including the Zoo’s main box office and three other attraction ticket stations.
