New Pin High Pilsner will support access to golf and future golf education programming
Cleveland Metroparks announced today a partnership with Market Garden Brewery, to develop a new golf-themed beer, Pin High Pilsner. Just in time for Memorial Day, Pin High Pilsner will be available for purchase at Cleveland Metroparks golf courses, as well as at Market Garden Brewery’s Ohio City brewpub and distribution sites.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of Pin High Pilsner will be donated to Cleveland Metroparks Golf Education Fund to support access to the game of golf for youth living in Cuyahoga County. In the near-term, a percentage of proceeds donated will help support personal protective equipment (PPE) needs for golf course staff. Several precautions, including the use of PPE have been put in place to protect guests and staff, which have allowed Cleveland Metroparks golf courses to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Once golf education programming is able to resume, Cleveland Metroparks Golf Education Fund will support access to the game of golf for youth living in Cuyahoga County through Junior Golf Day Camp scholarships.
“We have a dedicated team of staff that remains committed to keeping all eight of our golf courses open and operating for guests to enjoy and appreciate the support of Market Garden Brewery,” said Sean McHugh, Cleveland Metroparks Executive Director of Golf Operations. “We look forward to growing the partnership and working closely to enable more youth to experience the exercise, patience and integrity the game teaches you,” said McHugh.
With eight courses located conveniently throughout Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Metroparks Golf has a course to fit all skill levels. The courses vary from a sporting par three at Shawnee Hills to championship layouts at Manakiki and Sleepy Hollow, consistently named among
Golfweek’s top public courses.
Pin High Pilsner is a Czech-inspired Pilsner brewed with a blend of European pale malts and spicy Saaz hops to form a crisp well-rounded lager.
“As supporters of Cleveland Metroparks and golf enthusiasts we are excited about the partnership and opportunity to support Cleveland Metroparks golf courses during this time, and foster exposure for local youth to a game that offers countless benefits,” said Market Garden Brewery Co-Founder Mike Foran.
