Guests can drop in any time during this program and try equipment on a first come, first served basis. Average demo time will be approximately 15 minutes; excited cyclists are welcome to jump back in line for another turn. Demos will take place in a designated area. Handcycling is an excellent way for riders of all abilities to use their upper body strength to travel on Cleveland Metroparks amazing all-purpose trails. Thanks to a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, new Freedom Concept handcycles and specialized tricycles as well as an
Action Trackchair will be used during this demo. Adaptations and staff support are available if guests with disabilities (including but not limited to physical, cognitive, sensory, visual impairments, and hearing impairments) need them. If you have specific questions or would like to discuss your abilities, so we bring the bike that works best for you, please call us prior to the program: 216-341-1704 (Monday-Friday).
Dressing in non-cotton layers is encouraged. Reference the 3Ws of layering for more information about how to dress. Classes will begin promptly, so plan to arrive early. Please bring a completed
