Workshops align with Ohio Child Care Resources and Referral Association (OCCRRA) training codes for the Ohio Professional Registry. These workshops will be offered at your location or one of our centers.
Creating Your Nature Toolkit (AT111813) (1.5 hrs.)
The natural world is all around us, but how can we plan a lesson around it? Participants will use materials to build a toolkit that can be used inside and outside their classroom to explore nature. With simple activities adapted for various settings, you can feel confident in leading your students on a nature-based exploration.
Tips & Tricks for Exploring Nature! (AT117007) (1.5 hrs.)
Are you ready to explore nature with preschoolers? Having a place to start makes it easier. Participants will develop materials that can be used with their students to explore nature. These kid-tested tips and tricks that can be adapted for various settings will have you ready for exploration!
Nature Literacy (AT119471) (1.5 hrs.)
Natural history is an excellent topic for preschool literature. But which books should we use? Participants will explore a variety of books and activities that coincide with the theme and incorporate math, science, art, music, and a snack. Themes include insects, birds, mammals, rocks, and more!
Nature Literacy 2nd Edition (AT122713) (1.5 hrs.)
This workshop is a sequel to Nature Literacy (above). We have created all new topics and activities to coincide with some of our favorite nature books. Explore the world of owls, plants, and mammals along with some fun adventures that can help bring them to life in your classroom.

Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills.
