Fingerprint Animals
Materials: Paper, ink pad/paint, markers, fingers and imagination!
Books to help guide you:
Fingerprint Animals by Bobbie Nuytten
Fingerprint Bugs by Bobbie Nuytten
Fingerprint Activities: Animals by Fiona Watt
Fingerprint & Draw: Animals & Insects by Maite Balart
What animal you want to make? Where do you want that animal to be? What color is your animal going to be? Which finger will you use for what part of the animal?
Ink/paint one finger at a time. Have a scrap piece of paper to practice on. The first couple of prints might not come out the way you want.
When you think you are ready make your animal on finger print at a time.
Once animal print has dried add any details with marker to your animal, like eyes, nose, mouth, ears, legs, tail, or whiskers.
Then add your background, the habitat you picked your animal to be in.
Finally write your name and date on the paper somewhere on the paper.
