Donor: Family of Jennifer Laine Buck
Tree Species: Golden Buckeye
The Metroparks were an anchor to so many things Jennifer enjoyed about Cleveland. Whether walking along Lake Erie, taking in the beauty of Edgewater Beach, or watching the sunrise over the Cleveland skyline or sunsets, the parks system connected pieces of her life and family since she was a child growing up in Bay Village. She enjoyed going after work at 5/3 Bank to summer concerts at the Edgewater pavilion, especially to watch Welshly Arms.
A Golden Buckeye tree rather than an Ohio buckeye tree was chosen because while Jennifer loved her three years at Ohio State, her undergraduate degree was from Cleveland State where she was working on her MBA.
Jennifer was active in numerous charitable causes. Her life is defined not by a heart that needed repair but a heart that saw the best in all people
Jennifer’s tree was planted near the pavilion as a living memorial to Jennifer’s life and to provide comfort and strength to her family and friends.
