Donor: Family of Karen "Rose" Pringle
Tree Species: Red Bud
Cleveland Metroparks would like to thank the family of Karen Rose Pringle for their donation to plant a Red Bud tree in Big Creek Reservation in celebration of her love of nature and the joy she brought to her parents, children, and grandchildren.
Rose's greatest accomplishments in life were her husband, children, and grandchildren – she was so proud of each one of them. She was passionate about working with rescue organizations to save animals in need and found hope and inspiration in all that nature gives – trees, flowers, plants, and wildlife. Rose had a green thumb and spent countless hours caring for her flowers and enjoyed her house plants and garden.
Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo were special places for Rose, and she loved to enjoy them with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going for hikes and exploring nature and always found solace, support, and strength in nature's beauty. The physical health and spiritual well-being Rose found in nature was where she felt the most comfortable, relaxed and in touch with who she was and who she wanted to be.
Rose's family hopes that her spirit will live on through this tree and give them a place to embrace her.
