Donor: Family & Friends of the Farrell Family
Tree Species: Buckeye
Cleveland Metroparks gratefully acknowledges the family and friends of the Farrell family for their donations in memory of Sean Farrell. These gifts will support aquatic habitat, fishing programs and reforestation in Cleveland Metroparks now and in the future.
In appreciation of donations in celebration of Sean’s life, Cleveland Metroparks will plant a buckeye tree on the south side of Huntington Reservation in spring 2019.
Sean loved animals and the outdoors. He spent many days in Cleveland Metroparks enjoying nature with family and friends. Although Sean spent time in Bradley Woods and Rocky River Reservations, most of his time was at Huntington reservation. Here he would hike the trails, wade up and down the stream looking for minnows, frogs, turtles to grab, and snakes. Sean also enjoyed the beach, visiting Lake Erie Nature and Science Center to satisfy his love of animals, and of course stopping for ice cream! Thanks to the love of his friends and family the buckeye tree, a nod to his favorite college, will serve as a beautiful, living memorial to Sean.
