Donor: Family and Friends of Thomas M. Hoch
Tree Species: Red Maple
Cleveland Metroparks gratefully acknowledges the family of Thomas Hoch for their support of the Legacy Fund. This gift supports reforestation in Cleveland Metroparks now and in the future.
Tom was a devoted husband and loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle and great-uncle. Jokester, handyman and friend to all. He found peace and comfort in nature and was an avid camper in his youth and when his girls were young. He was happiest working in the yard, fixing and tinkering with things for his family, watching documentaries with his wife Sandi and making her laugh, and listening to NPR and The Beatles, preferably while eating candy.
Reforestation and conservation were important to Tom. Thanks to the generous contributions from family and friends, Tom's living memorial will be enjoyed by generations to come.
"Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more."
"In My Life" - The Beatles
A Red Maple has been planted in Tom's memory in Tyler Field - Rocky River Reservation.
