Avery Kohler

Avery began her journey as a naturalist in 2019 when working for a nature camp in Southeast Michigan. She has worked as an outdoor educator in Michigan, Alaska, and California before joining the Rocky River Nature Center team in 2024. Her love for Midwest ecology and providing equitable outdoor experiences drew her to beautiful Northeast Ohio and the amazing organization that is the Cleveland Metroparks. In her free time, she likes to go trail running, identify trees and plants, and explore new places.
