Current list of Cleveland Metroparks closures and restrictions.

Between February 26 to mid-April, 2025, this reservation will experience periodic closures on White Oak Lane at the main Bradley Road entrance on rainy evenings at or above 40 degrees.

Beginning February 3, 2025 - Dunham Trailhead Parking Lot & Touchstone MTB Trail closed for trail construction.

February 26, 2025 - Valley Parkway will be intermittently closed between Meadows Drive and Chippewa Creek Drive. The expected completion date is April 30, 2025.
December 10, 2024 - Meadows Drive from the Gazebo to Valley Parkway is closed for the winter due to snow and ice. The drive will reopen in the spring.
Between February 26 to mid-April, 2025, this reservation will experience periodic closures on Valley Parkway between Meadows Dr. and Chippewa Creek Drive on rainy evenings at or above 40 degrees.

Beginning November 20, 2024 – The building is open, guests will be rerouted to back entrance for one month due to construction work on front entrance pergola. Detour directions: APT trail around to the rear of the building and up 20 stairs. Accessible entrance available-216-206-1000 for questions.

Beginning October 24, 2023 – Hinckley Lake trail between the spillway and West Drive connector trail closed for Hinckley Lake Dam project. Learn more about the project. Detour directions: The APT (paved trail) will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
Beginning June 16, 2023 – HAD Drilling Contractors will be conducting gas well plugging activity in various areas throughout Hinckley Reservation. No closures are expected at this time.
Hinckley Lake Boathouse will be closed January 20th - January 22nd 2025 (reopens January 23rd 2025) due to expected cold temperatures.

Beginning August 5, 2024 through August of 2025 - The Coast Guard Causeway is closed for the US Army Corps of Engineers re-building of the causeway out to the old coast guard station. It is closed to vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, dog walkers, and anglers.

March 17, 2025 - Valley Parkway/Puritas/Mastick intersection is closed due to utility pole damage.
Beginning March 3, 2025 - Valley Parkway, between Shepard Lane and Cedar Point Road will be closed for a bridge construction project. Detour directions: Valley Parkway to Shepard Lane to Mastick Road to Columbia Road to Cedar Point Road to Valley Parkway. Expected to reopen August 1, 2025

Beginning December 9, 2024 - a section of the Bridle Trail- NC4 from Ox Lane south to the top of the hill in A.B. Williams Woods is closed to to culvert failure.
Between February 26 to mid-April, 2025, this reservation will experience periodic closures on Buttermilk Parkway between Strawberry Picnic Area and Chardon Road on rainy evenings at or above 40 degrees.

Beginning February 18, 2025 - Sulphur Springs/Chagrin River Road/Miles Road closed to pedestrians and horseback riders for the Sulphur Realignment Project. The trail that crosses Deer Lick Creek will be closed for the duration of the project. Ongoing until Summer 2025.
The Hawthorn Parkway Bridge will be under construction from January 20 until the fall of 2025.The road and APT will be fully closed to the public. Learn more about the project.

Beginning October 15, 2024 – The Arborview Picnic Shelter will have limited parking and access to picnic shelter, playground facility and general ground for a Northeast Ohio Sewer District Construction project. Expected completion is August 31, 2028.
