Heritage Park and Rivergate Park Boat Docks

Heritage Park and Rivergate Park Boat Docks

Project Update (May 2024): The Heritage Park docks sustained significant freighter damage on August 23, 2023. Plans for repair are underway, and will be completed as soon as possible. In the meantime, there are 5 boat slips which are still operational and available for use, identified in green in the figure below. Additionally, the 6 docks at Rivergate Park near Merwin's Wharf are fully open and available for public use.

Utilizing two federal awards through BIG (Boating Infrastructures Grant), Cleveland Metroparks constructed 6 day-use boat slips in Rivergate Park and 12 day-use boat slips in Heritage Park. The new boat slips are the only publicly accessible boat slips along the six-mile ship channel on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland and offer new connections to parks and trails.

Each of the docks are reservable on a first-come first-served basis, and can be paid for on-site on an hourly basis using the ParkMobile app.
