Cleveland Metroparks Golf Courses Open for the 2025 Season

Golf season is in full swing across all nine Cleveland Metroparks golf course and announced today several key tournament and event dates for golfers of all ages and abilities, as well as new milestones, course updates and promotions during a period of record play.

“From lessons and camps to amateur tournaments and special events like Moonlight Golf, Cleveland Metroparks has a golf opportunity for all ages and abilities,” said Cleveland Metroparks Director of Golf Dave Donner. “This year, we’re also celebrating 100 years of Little Met Golf Course and continuing major improvements at Seneca Golf Course.”

Since 2020, golf has continued to draw a high rate of play including a record-setting 415,600 rounds played in 2024 at the Park District's nine courses. Overall, rate of play is up approximately 50% from pre-pandemic levels. 

In 2025, Little Met is celebrating its 100 year anniversary with two signature events: the 1925 Golf Outing on May 17, where guests can travel back in time by wearing vintage golf attire and playing by original golf rules that were common in the early 1900s, and the Centennial Moonlight event on Friday August 1, where guests can explore this legacy course after dark.

Updates at Seneca Golf Course:

In fall 2024, Cleveland Metroparks closed the final 9 holes "Back A" at Seneca Golf Course to begin the much-anticipated construction of the final 9 holes at the course. Since Cleveland Metroparks acquired the course in 2011, 27 of the course’s 36 holes have been renovated. In addition to the upcoming construction of the final 9 holes, Cleveland Metroparks is adding a driving range at Seneca Golf Course.
