Tree Species: Pawpaw, Red Maple, and Persimmon
Cleveland Metroparks gratefully acknowledges the family and friends of Cheri Jameson for their support of the Legacy Fund. This gift supports reforestation and habitats for migratory birds and butterflies for Cleveland Metroparks now and in the future.
Few things brought Cheri Louise (Knauss) Jameson more joy, more happiness or more contentment than nature. She was always so appreciative that a true jewel such as Cleveland Metroparks was almost literally at her back door. She spent countless hours bicycling its paths and roadways, walking its bridle trails and soaking in the sun along the banks of the Rocky River.
Cheri always found solace, support and strength in the park’s beauty, solitude and peace. It’s where she found both physical health and spiritual well-being. It’s where she felt the most comfortable and relaxed — where she felt the most in touch with who she was and who she wanted to be. All of nature — the trees, flowers, plants and wildlife — gave Cheri inspiration and peace and hope. It truly spoke to her and touched her life in many ways. And her strength and optimism and spirit rippled through the family and friends in her orbit.
It’s in Cheri’s memory this gift is made, so that others may experience and enjoy the nature and wildlife that brought her so much happiness and contentment.
