Cleveland Metroparks gratefully acknowledges the friends and family of Fred Mieser, Jr. for contributing to the Fishing and Legacy Funds. This gift supports reforestation in Cleveland Metroparks now and for the future.

Few things brought more joy to Fred than fishing. He spent many hours fishing for steelhead in the Rocky River near Lagoon Dam and Cedar Point Hill. He spent his summers fishing for bass on Wallace Lake. His love for fishing was highlighted by his impressive collection of Fish Ohio awards and pins.

Fred used fishing as his ministry and as a way to bring joy others. He did not hesitate to share his knowledge of fish, bait and gear in order help others land big catches of their own. His infectious sense of humor and crazy zest for life always kept everyone entertained. 
 
May the beautiful blooms of this tree be a constant reminder of the love and laughter he spread to others, every single day.
