  • **Reservations are a timed ticket and do not guarantee no lines or no wait times**.Your 1-hour reservation time is your time to check in at the ticket booth and pick up your pre-purchased tickets. You may toboggan for as long as you would like until close of that day. 
  • All RIDERS MUST BE 42” or TALLER and MUST WEAR WINTER GLOVES OR MITTENS THAT COVER FINGERTIPS TO RIDE THE CHUTES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE 2024-2025 SEASON. (If you would like to purchase tickets with a Cleveland Metroparks Gift Card call The Chalet to arrange, 440-572-9990).
  • **On Prime Tobogganing Days lines and wait times can be upwards of an hour or more. Typically, lines and wait times are 20-30 mins**. 
    • Reservations are required for tobogganing for the 2024-2025 season
    • Reservations are a timed ticket to guarantee your toboggan experience and do not guarantee no lines or no wait times. During Holiday Hours or high-volume toboggan days, expect longer wait times. You may ride until close of that day. On Prime Tobogganing Days lines and wait times can be upwards of an hour or more. We are typically the busiest at the top of the hour.
    • Your 1-hour reservation time is your time to check in at the ticket booth and pick up your pre-purchased tickets. You may toboggan for as long as you would like until close of that day.
    • Gloves or mittens that cover your fingertips are required and is a strict rule that will be enforced. No refunds will be issued for riders that do not have gloves. Gloves are available for purchase from the ticket booth.
    • All Riders must be 42” or taller. This is a strict rule and will be enforced. No exceptions.  When picking up your tickets at the ticket booth, children must be present for a height check. No Refunds will be issued for online tickets purchased for riders below the height limit. Please measure your children before purchasing tickets.
    • The toboggan lift is used to carry ONLY toboggans up to the top of the chutes. The toboggans are loaded and unloaded by Chalet Staff. Riders will need to walk up 108 steps to the top of the hill to ride the toboggan chutes.
    • No other items or people will be transported by the toboggan lift.
    • The Ticket Booth closes 1 hour before closing, and reservations end 2 hours before closing to ensure all riders get through the line by closing.
    • The Chalet building will be open during public hours. Sections of the Chalet interior may be closed as needed.
    • Two table maximum per group. 
    • There is a wood burning fireplace in the main lounge and on the outdoor back patio. 
    • Restrooms are available in a standalone building outside of The Chalet. 
    • Food and Beverages are available for purchase at the Concession Stand. No outside food or beverages are permitted in The Chalet building during public hours. Food must be purchased from our concession stand. 
    • If you would like to bring your own food and beverages, there are picnic tables and two first come- first serve charcoal grills available in the picnic grove. Cooking appliances with plugs are hazardous and not permitted during public hours.

    • As deemed necessary due to ice maintenance, snow removal, staffing or as needed, it may be necessary to operate only one chute on a particular day. If we need to keep a chute closed for an extended period, we will post a sign at the ticket booth.
  • Open the day after Thanksgiving through the last weekend in February, weather permitting. 


    Toboggan Hours:

    • Fridays: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
    • Saturdays: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
    • Sundays: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

     Sunday, Feburary 23: Noon - 5 p.m. - Last Day of the 2024-2025 season!

  • All Riders must be 42” or taller and all riders must wear gloves or mittens that cover your fingertips. No exceptions!


    Daily admission rates:

    $15 (daily- multiple ride ticket)


    Children 11 and Younger:

    $13 (daily- multiple ride ticket)


    If you would like to purchase tickets with Cleveland Metroparks Gift Cards call The Chalet to arrange, 440-572-9990. Gift Cards are Sold and Accepted at The Chalet Ticket Window and Concessions. Cleveland Metroparks Gifts Cards are not accepted or sold on the reservation system “Tock”.

    • Each person in your group tobogganing will need to purchase a ticket. If you are not tobogganing, you do not need to purchase a ticket.
    • When picking up your tickets, children must be present for a height check. All riders must be 42” or taller. This is a strict rule and will be enforced. No Refunds will be issued for online tickets purchased for riders below the height limit.
    • The toboggan is included in your ticket price. You will need to purchase one ticket per person riding. 1-4 riders may ride each toboggan. You will ride with your group. We do not mix your group on the toboggan, with people you do not know. 
    • Maximum limit 4 per toboggan.
    • No personal toboggans may be brought to the chalet for tobogganing.
    • The Ticket Booth closes 1 hour before closing, and reservations end 2 hours before closing to ensure all riders get through the line by closing.
    • Children below 42” tall are not permitted to ride on an adult lap.
    • No pets are permitted to ride the toboggan chutes.

If you have a reservation on a day that we are required to close due to weather or other operating conditions, we will reach out to you via your email address provided with your reservation and notify you of the closing.

     

    We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. There is NOT an ATM on site.

  • Birthday Party Rentals & Food Packages are available during public tobogganing hours. Food Packages, Ala Carte Menu, Birthday Cakes and discounted group toboggan tickets are available for purchase with Birrhday Party Rentals and packages. Food must be purchased through the Chalet.  

    2024-2025 Available Birthday Party Times:

    • Fridays 6-9 p.m.
    • Saturdays Noon-4 p.m.
    • Sunday Noon-4 p.m.
    • Birthday Party time slots are not available 12/20/24-1/5/25.

    • 2 reserved tables in our Birthday Party Area, up to 20 Guest.

    • Weather conditions that maydelay or cancel tobogganing:
      • Extreme warm weather
      • Heavy rain, thunder or lightening
      • Extreme wind chill
      • Real temperatures reach zero or below
      • Varying weather conditions

    Guests have the ability to change their reservation time or day on our reservation system “Tock” up to 48 hours before the reservation time.

  • We want you to have a fun and safe toboggan experience. While you focus on fun, we are focused on safety.  Please read and follow all rules and instructions.

    • The Toboggan Chutes are a high-speed physical thrill ride/sports activity which is rough and physically jarring. Do not ride the toboggan chutes if you have any of the following, but not limited to:
      • Back Problems
      • Respiratory Difficulties
      • Heart Troubles
      • Recent Surgery
      • Weak or Brittle Bones
      • Pregnancy
      • Easily Frightened
      • Are below 42” inches tall
      • If you do not have gloves or mittens that cover your fingertips,   
    • Please read “Know Before You Go” updates.
    • Come to the Chalet Ticket Booth to pick up your reserved tickets. All ticket restrictions will apply.
    • All riders must be at least 42 inches tall to ride. No exceptions. No refunds. 
    • When picking up tickets, children must be present at the ticket booth for a height check.
    • All Riders must Wear Gloves or Mittens (Heavy gloves recommended) Fingerless gloves are not permitted. Gloves are available for purchase at the Ticket Booth.
    • Maximum limit 4 Riders Per Toboggan.
    • For your protection, height and safety requirements will be enforced.
    • Children 14 and younger must be accompanied on the grounds by an adult.
    • Riders must stay off the loading platform and behind the yellow line until called to load onto the toboggan.
    • Riders will be instructed by staff on how to load and hold onto the ropes of the toboggan.
    • Riders must stay seated in the start position. Hold onto the ropes with palms out, elbows in. Pull up on the ropes and do not let go or drop your hands until you have come to a complete stop.
    • Do not lean out of or rock the toboggan
    • Keep legs, feet, and hands inside the toboggan and remain seated until the toboggan comes to a complete stop.
    • Riders must fit safely and properly on the toboggan while holding themselves in place and not potentially cause harm to themselves or others.
    • Intoxicated Persons are not permitted to ride.
    • Secure all loose objects on your person. If you lose your hat do not chase it. A Chalet Attendant will retrieve it for you.
    • Go Pros are not permitted
    • The toboggan lift is used to carry ONLY toboggans up to the top of the chutes. The toboggans are loaded and unloaded by Chalet Staff. Riders will need to walk up 108 steps to the top of the hill to ride the toboggan chutes.
    • No other items or people will be transported by the toboggan lift.
    • Riders must carry toboggans to the top of the hill in the event the toboggan lift is not operating. No refunds, discounts, or rain checks if the toboggan lift is not operating.
    • No Refunds. Tickets will not be reissued if lost or misplaced.
    • The Ticket Booth closes 1 hour before closing, and reservations end 2 hours before closing to ensure all riders get through the line by closing.
    • Concession sales will end one half hour before closing.
    • Tobogganing may be canceled due to weather and/or ice conditions. No rain checks or refunds once tickets have been picked up at The Ticket Booth.
    • "No Shows" will not be refunded. We have limited space for each time slot. If you do not plan to come, please cancel your reservation atleast 48 hours in advance to allow others to toboggan in that time slot. 
    • Updates will be posted on the weather update line. 440-572-9990 “6”.
    • Weather conditions that may cancel tobogganing:
      • Extreme warm temperatures.
      • Heavy rain,
      • Extreme wind chill
      • Real temperatures reach zero or below
      • Other varying weather conditions.  
    • Ride at your own Risk
    • Failure to follow rules or instructions could result in injury or expulsion from the Toboggan Chutes.
    • Cleveland Metroparks is not responsible for injuries or personal property.
    • Section 993.08 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that riders must obey all warning and directions regarding this ride and behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to injury to themselves or others. Failure to comply is a misdemeanor.
