Ten Winter Waterfalls in Cleveland Metroparks
Bridal Veil Falls, Bedford Reservation
This cascading waterfall gets its name from the flowing water resembling a bride's flowing veil. It’s a short walk from the Bridal Veil Falls parking lot, which must be accessed from the Bridle Trail while the staircase is under construction.
Great Falls of Tinker's Creek, Bedford Reservation
The power of flowing water was harnessed at this historic center of industry. Evidence remains of a saw mill, grist mill and an electric power plant, as well as a viaduct that carried trains over Tinker’s Creek.
Deer Lick Cave, Brecksville Reservation

Linda Falls, Bedford Reservation
Hike the Sagamore Creek Trail to this hidden waterfall. Take the trail along the ledge of the ravine of Sagamore Creek and travel deep into the forest. Linda Falls is found at a basin rock ledge, at certain times of the year you will get two waterfalls in one location!
Berea Falls, Rocky River Reservation
With a fully accessible overlook, Berea Falls is worth a visit during every season. This time of year, capture views of the Rocky River and its frozen art among a backdrop of world-famous geology. Henry Church Jr. Waterfall, South Chagrin Reservation
Henry Church, Jr. Rock is a natural gem all on its own. However, when winter comes and the waterfalls along this trail start to freeze, a new ephemeral masterpiece is made. The 0.6-mile loop clockwise will take you to two small waterfalls from tributaries, and the large waterfall in the Chagrin River.
Quarry Rock Falls, South Chagrin Reservation
An enchanting waterfall surrounded by the beautiful scenery of a Chagrin River bend. A small viewing deck provides easy access from the nearby Quarry Rock Picnic Area parking lot.
Hinckley Spillway, Hinckley Reservation
The Hinckley Lake Dam is nearly 100 years old and is where water spills over from the 90-acre Hinckley Lake. This human-made dam will freeze over during our coldest months and provide easy access for all to enjoy the ice formations.
