Honor a loved one, celebrate a special occasion or pay tribute to someone special while helping to preserve and protect the Emerald Necklace.
There are four ways you can make a gift in memory or honor of someone special or celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding or holiday:
- Make a donation to the Legacy Fund. Legacy Fund donations support plant material to help create a welcome and healthy environment for wildlife and preserve and enhance the natural beauty of Cleveland Metroparks.
- Celebrate your loved one by donating to one of our other funds.
- Honor them by having a Legacy Tree planted in one of our 18 reservations or golf courses (donations begin at $1,800 and include online recognition in Legacy Tree Gallery).
- Celebrate a loved one or an important event by dedicating a bench in Cleveland Metroparks (donations begin at $10,000).
No matter the option you choose, we will notify your honoree or their family of your thoughtful donation.
Obituary Information
If you would like to invite friends and family to donate to Cleveland Metroparks in memory of a loved one, the following is an example of suggested wording for an obituary:
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Cleveland Metroparks [FUND or RESERVATION NAME] in memory of [NAME OF LOVED ONE], online at clevelandmetroparks.com/giveonline or mailed to Cleveland Metroparks, 4101 Fulton Parkway, Cleveland, OH 44144.
