Update 4/11/2025: Thanks to the incredible generosity of George McNulty’s family and friends, the fundraising goal for his legacy tree has been met. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, and this tribute will soon take root as a lasting symbol of George’s life and love for Lake Erie.
Friends and family of George McNulty are raising funds for the dedication of a legacy tree in his honor. This tree will serve as a beautiful and lasting tribute to George's memory, offering a place for family, friends, grandchildren and loved ones to visit and celebrate his life. While George's remains rest at the United States Naval Academy, his alma mater, a dedication space in his hometown will hold special meaning for all who knew him. The tree will be located in Edgewater Park, near the shores of lake Erie, where George was happiest, sailing with his family.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will honor George's legacy and help keep his love for the Great Lakes alive.
