FAQ
WILL MY CHILD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP AN ANIMAL KEEPER?
For the safety of all, direct contact with exhibit animals is not possible. This program provides an introduction and overview of many zoo related careers for high school students and young adults (ages 13-18+).
CAN I COME TO THE PROGRAM WITH MY CHILD?
Parent attendance is not required. Everyone attending the program must have a paid registration.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Program fees and deposits are
non-refundable. Participants assume risk of all changes in personal health and affairs. With advanced notice of one week prior to the scheduled program date, the program may be rescheduled for free to a new date pending inventory/availability before the end of the following calendar year with a maximum of one (1) reschedule move. Rescheduling requests will not be honored for “no-shows” and requests submitted with less than a week’s notice, will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
If Cleveland Metroparks Zoo finds it necessary to cancel a program, a refund or internal education program credit will be issued. Registrants will be notified if programs are cancelled. By registering for a program, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this policy.
DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING A LUNCH?
No. Career Quest is a 3-hour experience. Participants are recommended to eat beforehand or afterwards. A lunch break will not be provided during the program.
Will there be walking involved during the program?
Yes. Our education programs are interactive experiences that take place in different locations within the Zoo. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and dressing appropriately for the weather. If you have any accessibility needs or concerns regarding mobility, please let us know so that accommodations can be made, if needed. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo strives to ensure all participants can fully engage in and enjoy the experience. You can find more information on the
