The Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April through October and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m from November through March.
Please note: The Zoo will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
General admission tickets for non-members is $20.50 for adults, $18.50 for seniors (age 62 and over) and $16.50 for children (ages 2 – 11). Tickets are not required for children under two. See the Zoo's pricing.
Parking is FREE.

Tram service is offered to the Primate, Cat & Aquatics building on select days.
The Zoo has group discounts for any group of 20 or more with advance reservations, or, to schedule a visit, call group reservations direct at 216.635.3304. Walk-up groups will not be eligible for this discount. 20 or more.
No, one ticket includes The RainForest and the Zoo.
It depends on how many people you have with you, how fast you walk, etc. Allow 2-4 hours to enjoy the Zoo and at least an hour and a half to experience The RainForest.
Of course! Membership includes unlimited admission to the Zoo and The RainForest for a full year. Members also receive a subscription to Z Magazine, discounts on select Zoo events and activities, and additional benefits. The Zoo offers military personnel/veterans and their family members $12 admission every day with photo ID. Limit of six discounted admission tickets per military discount. The Military discount is only for daytime General Admission tickets, it does not include any zoo special events. Other discounts can not be combined.

The RainForest at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open daily during normal operating hours.
All areas of the Zoo are currently open, although some areas and attractions may experience temporary closures due to staffing restrictions.
We allow photographs of all animals and exhibits from public viewing areas unless otherwise noted. If you are from a media outlet, we ask that you set up the photo shoot in advance. Call 216.661.6500 and ask for Marketing & PR or e-mail [email protected]. We do not allow umbrella type flashes or external lighting set ups unless special arrangements are made in advance.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo shares your concern for the best care for animals; however, you may need to take your pet to a vet. Please check the yellow pages under Veterinarians to find the vet that's right for your pet.
No. For the safety of your pet and the animals in our care, only ADA approved service animals will be admitted to the Zoo. Please do not bring your pet as we do not have a kennel. Please see our service animal guidelines on our Accessibility page.

Yes, outside food and drinks are permitted except for glass products and alcohol.
You may wish to contact the Cleveland Metroparks Nature Center closest to you and talk to a naturalist.
You will find that every zoo is different - size, how many animals, what type of animal, what price they choose to charge at the gate (if they charge admission), if they are supported by taxes or a non-profit society, or both... The list is endless and again, every zoo is different.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo does not currently offer internship opportunities to students. We do offer a variety of positions of seasonal employment which you can find listed on the Cleveland Metroparks website here: Find Jobs. Often, seasonal positions are available in the summer and are usually filled by the end of the previous year.
