Parking is FREE
Balloons, recreational scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, sporting balls, roller skates, Heelys shoes, self-steered, electric-powered cars/trucks, remote-controlled cars, bicycles, pets and grills are prohibited.
For the safety of the animals, the Zoo does not provide straws or drink lids. Help us maintain a healthy, positive environment- please do not feed or tease the animals. Keep our waterways clean and safe for the animals. Don't throw objects including coins in the water.
Credit Cards
Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted at the Box Office, as well as cash or check. The Zoo's main gift shop in the Welcome Plaza as well as all food vendors accept Visa, Master Card, American Express or cash (no checks).
There are two ATMs available: Ticket Plaza, Roaring Lion Café.
Smoking is prohibited on Zoo grounds
Pursuant to Cleveland Metroparks Regulation 521.04: Use of Tobacco on Property of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo prohibits smoking of tobacco products on any property which is owned by Cleveland Metroparks situated within the Zoo and includes: Zoo grounds, Cleveland Metroparks offices and Zoo administration buildings, picnic areas, restrooms, utility buildings, all indoor facilities and outdoor areas that are accessible to the public.
Guests may smoke only in parking lots (Bear, Tiger, Lion, Otter and Stork). "No Smoking Beyond this Point" signage along walkways will indicate where the non-smoking areas begin.
Tobacco products will include but are limited to the following:
- Cigars
- Smoking tobacco, including granulated, plug-cut, crimp-cut, ready-rubbed and any form of tobacco suitable for smoking in a pipe or as a cigarette
- An article or product that is made of tobacco or a tobacco substitute and that is not a cigarette, including electronic cigarettes and vaping devices
Concealed Carry
Concealed Carry Permit Holders: Pursuant to ORC Section 2923.126, CCW permit holders may NOT carry a weapon in any Zoo building that is not a restroom or shelter.
Zoo attendance terms & conditions
All orders are subject to credit card approval and billing address verification. The billing address will be verified with your credit card company so you must use the exact address to which your statements are mailed.
There are no refunds or exchanges available on tickets once the purchase has been completed. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (Zoo) will not issue any rainchecks, refunds, or exchanges after purchase has been made, including but not limited, to lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets.
You have selected “Print at Home” for your delivery option. “Print at Home” tickets are delivered within minutes to the email address you provided at checkout. YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT YOUR TICKETS AND BRING THEM WITH YOU TO THE ZOO OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO SHOW THE BARCODE FROM A MOBILE DEVICE.
Use of this ticket constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth on this ticket. The person using this ticket (the “Holder”) on behalf of himself/herself and, to the extent permitted by law, any minor(s) accompanying Holder and any other accompanying party for whom Holder retains a ticket (jointly, the “Users”), voluntarily assumes all risk of personal injury (including but not limited to death) and loss of property, by accident or otherwise, incidental to attending the Zoo and using its rides, attractions and facilities, and agrees that the Zoo, its directors, officers, employees, and agents are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any such injuries or losses, no matter how caused. This ticket evidences a revocable license to enter the Zoo’s property, and this license may be revoked (and the holder ejected from the Zoo’s property) at the sole discretion of the Zoo, without refund, if misused or if the holder fails to abide by the policies, rules or regulations of the Zoo. Park hours, prices, policies, and programs are all subject to change without notice. This ticket is non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-replaceable if lost or stolen. Unauthorized resale of this ticket is prohibited. Fees, food, merchandise, and special events are not included.
Cleveland Metroparks and its designees and agents at all times reserve the right to videotape guests, and take still images, and to utilize those images, videos and any other recording for any reason, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, promotion, on social media. All property ownership of such materials, and copyright in and to all such materials, shall belong exclusively to Cleveland Metroparks and/or its designees and agents in perpetuity, without any compensation or other consideration to any guest. The Holder, on behalf of himself/herself and, to the extent permitted by law, any Users, grants to Cleveland Metroparks permission to utilize Users’ images, likenesses, actions and/or statements in any live or recorded audio, video, film, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction, including commercial or promotional purposes, without further authorization or compensation. In addition, Holder, on behalf of himself/herself and, to the extent permitted by law, any Users, grants to Cleveland Metroparks permission to collect, share and store certain User facial or other biometric information as permitted by law, including for security purposes.
Any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or in any way related to this Ticket shall be settled by mandatory, final and binding arbitration in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, unless Cleveland Metroparks, in its sole discretion, determines that the action shall be settled in a state or federal court located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and the Parties consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction by and exclusive venue in such courts.

Lost and Found
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items. The handling of lost, mislaid, and unclaimed property is governed by Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Lost and Found Policy. This policy states that an item left unattended in a public space is considered mislaid property and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo shall be awarded ownership until such a time that the item can be returned to the rightful owner or the item goes unclaimed. Mislaid property is kept for thirty (30) days with the following exceptions: driver's licenses, State identification cards, bank/credit cards, membership cards, or other personal identification which are only kept for two (2) days; unclaimed items that are perishable, soiled, wet or dirty will be disposed of at the end of the day. After thirty (30) days, unclaimed items will be recycled, repurposed, disposed of, or donated at Cleveland Metroparks' sole discretion.
Zoo guests needing to report a lost item during their visit may do so in person at the Guest Resource Center near the main entrance of the Zoo or by phone at 216.635.3446. In an effort to reunite items with the rightful owner, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo reserves the right to search the contents of wallets, purses, electronic devices, and other personal items.
Claimed items should be picked up from the Zoo within thirty (30) days and not to exceed sixty (60) days. After a total of sixty (60) days, items not picked up will follow the same disposal procedure for unclaimed items.
